Hostgator Owner Company EIG Lists on NASDAQ

Endurance International Group (EIG) which is also the owner group of the Hostgator, has now listed on the NASDAQ. EIG has completed its IPO and sold around 21 million shares at $12 each raising $252 million. Although the company was expected to sell 23 to 24 million shares at $14 to $16 each but it managed to sell only 21 million shares at $12 each. The shares were listed on NASDAQ on Friday 25th October 2013. Currently the shares are trading $11.25 down $0.75 from the IPO pricing.

The underwriters of the IPO has also undertaken to purchase a further 3.15 million shares at the IPO price within 30 days of the IPO listing. Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley are the lead underwriters for the IPO

The IPO is expected to finance its $110 million acquisition of Directi Companies. EIG acquired Directi companies like Bigrock.com few months back and the deal was valued at $110 million according to the documents filed with Stock Exchange Commission (SEC). EIG currently employs over 2500 people in its group companies.

EIG is one of the biggest web hosting group of the world and has many leading brands like Bluehost, Domain.com, FatCow, Homestead, HostGator, A Small Orange, iPage and many more under its umbrella. EIG’s revenue is expected to be over $500 million annually.
